Easy Lemongrass Tea Recipe Ingredients
- 3 stalks of fresh lemongrass, sliced (2 Tbsp fresh or 1 Tbsp dried)
- 6 cups of boiling water
- Honey to taste
Easy Lemongrass Tea Recipe Instructions
- Instructions: Pour boiling water over the lemongrass. Cover and steep for about 9 minutes. Strain, add honey to taste, enjoy.
Contraindications: Both lemongrass essential oil and the herb can cause contact skin irritation in some people, so avoid with sensitive skin. Avoid with low blood sugar, and with blood sugar medications as it may further lower blood sugar. Avoid with liver conditions, as lemongrass may increase liver functions. Avoid with pregnancy, breastfeeding, and young children (1).

- In a study with 60 healthy women, the inhalation of a blend of lemongrass, patchouli, and ylang ylang was more effective than inhaling lavender in reducing anxiety.
