It is surprisingly easy to make your own body scrubs at home. Many of the recipe ingredients you will already have on hand in your kitchen, and you can mix up a jar in just a few short minutes. Below are five recipes offering a variety of body scrub options and each recipe has only three or four ingredients. It’s that simple!
Mix the sweet almond oil and lavender essential oil together in a clean glass jar or container with a lid. Add in the salt.
To use, scrub about half a cup all over wet body and then rinse off. Be careful not to slip in the shower. Makes about 4 servings. Also works great as a bath salt soak.
Mix the coconut oil and vanilla extract together in a clean glass jar or container with a lid. Stir in the coffee grounds.
To use, scrub about half a cup all over wet body and then rinse off. Use this recipe in the morning as an invigorating wake up! Carful not to slip. Makes about 4 servings. Skin patch test with sensitive skin before scrubbing over entire body.
Mix the sweet almond oil and grapefruit essential oil together in a clean glass jar or container with a lid. Stir in the sugar. Garnish with rose petals.
To use, scrub about half a cup all over wet body and then rinse off. Be careful not to slip in the shower. Makes about 4 servings. Avoid sun exposure with the topical use of pressed citrus oils.
Mix the three ingredients together. Use the recipe within the day.
To use, scrub about all over wet body and then rinse off. Also works great in a bath: rub the recipe all over the body, get in the bath, an soak a bit.
Mix the jojoba oil and lime essential oil together in a clean glass jar or container with a lid. Fold in the sugar and poppy seeds.
To use, scrub about half a cup all over wet body and then rinse off. Be careful not to slip in the shower. Makes about 4 servings. Avoid sun exposure with the topical use of pressed citrus oils.
