This Green Hydration smoothie has a beautiful earthy green hue and is loaded with vitamins, minerals, and electrolytes for good health and hydration. Add the matcha green tea powder for an energy boost, plus a more vibrant green color!
Green Hydration Smoothie Ingredients
1 green apple, cored and cut into pieces
1 cup of green leafy veggies such as spinach, lettuce, or arugula
1 banana (or 1 avocado for a low sugar option)
Juice of 1 lime
20 fresh mint leaves (spearmint or peppermint)
1 cup of ice
1 cup of water
1 tsp of matcha green tea powder (optional)
Green Hydration Smoothie Instructions
Blend all ingredients together in a high powered blender until smooth; makes about two 18 ounce servings.

Green apples are high in dietary fiber and offer a good amount of vitamin C.
Green leafy vegetables are a rich source of vitamins C, E, K and multiple B vitamins. They also contain valuable minerals including: iron, calcium, potassium, and magnesium.
Bananas are high in dietary fiber and vitamins B6 and C, as well as magnesium, and potassium. Avocados are also high in these same vitamins and minerals, but with heart healthy mono-unsaturated fats and much less sugar. (There is only 1 gram of sugar in an avocado vs 15 grams in a banana.)
Limes are high in vitamin C.
