Pictured: The Root Chakra
Sit in a comfortable seated position on the ground. Lengthen the spine. Take a slow deep inhale. Pause. And then release a long, productive exhale. Release the stress of the day with the exhale. Feel the muscles relax with the exhale. Repeat the inhale and exhale several times. Focus on how your sit bones touch the ground. Meld into the ground. Become one with the ground. Feel gravity giving you strength and balance, grounding you to the Earth, and to the here and now.
Let go of your life’s hurried whirl of busy activities. Tune out of your environment’s bombardment of stimulation. Just breathe. Calm the mind and body. Root down as you lift your thoughts up. Ground yourself and let your roots grow towards the true meaning of life, love, and happiness. Feel an energy grow in your root chakra that rises up your spin, into your head, above your body, and onward, into the Heavens.

Drop the essential oils into a 4 ounce spray bottle. Shake. Then add the alcohol or carrier oil.* Next, shake the blend again and allow it to set for a few days. After the spray has set for a few days, test the aroma by spraying one squirt on a piece of paper and wafting the paper in the air by your nose. Then, you can add up to 10 more drops of the different essential oils depending on how you would like to change the aroma. If you would like it more earthy, add more ginger. To calm the mind, add more patchouli. For more fire, add 1 or 2 extra drops of cinnamon. Increase the masculinity of the aroma by adding more cedarwood. Or, make the aroma more feminine by adding more vanilla. Then let it set for a few more days.
Adults, spray one or two sprays on your wrists and arms to enjoy a sunny fresh aroma. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.
*This perfume spray can be made with either alcohol or fractionated coconut oil as the carrier for the essential oils. Everclear alcohol provides a non-greasy spray, but fractionated coconut oil is a very light oil and melds into the skin nicely.
Powerful earthen roots
Fire-like, red, and strong.
Grounding to stabilize new shoots,
Celebrating that which is right, and surviving that which is wrong.
